Overlooking the Maitai River, Riverside Apartment provides peace and quiet, just one block from the Nelson City Centre. With under-cover parking at the door you then walk up to this self-contained apartment which has a terrace opening from the lounge where guests can enjoy alfresco dining above the river, close enough to see trout jumping!
Native birds such as the tui, heron and kingfisher feed on the river, flax and kowhai trees. A white swan can frequently be seen gliding by as if she owns the place.
A formed walkway runs along the riverside which is great for walking and jogging. One way takes you to the port & inner harbour area and the other to the Riverside heated pool & gym, Queens Gardens and Suter Art Gallery. It is a very easy walk up the hill to the 'Centre of New Zealand' lookout which has spectacular views over the greater Nelson area, sea and mountains beyond.

There is a full kitchen for self-catering which flows through to spacious dining room with a step down to the lounge area which has double doors opening to the sunny terrace.
There is also a second toilet with hand basin and twin bedroom on this level.
Upstairs is the queen-size bedroom and the main bathroom which has shower over bath. There is also a small balcony off the master bedroom with fantastic views both upstream and down.
At the back of Riverside Apartment is the Maitai Suite which has a queen and single bed, all-day sun balcony with views through to the river, separate kitchenette with microwave,
bathroom with shower and toilet.
 
Both Riverside Apartment and the Maitai Suite can be opened up to create a large complex ideal for family groups, 3 couples, business conferences, trade shows etc.
They are spacious and bright, very quiet with plenty of secure off street parking.
